This movement set the tone for the “resistance movements” that were to come after 2016. With international solidarity, the Oceti Sakowin Youth Council lead the World in a movement towards justice — for land, for water, and for humanity. Here in Los Angeles, we also were lead by the youth of Anahuacalmecac — our only Indigenous school in LA.
